Iziaslav I of Kyiv
Eldest surviving son of Yaroslav the Wise and prince of Kyiv three times — in 1054–1068, 1069–1073 and 1077–1078. Driven out by the Kyiv uprising after the defeat on the Alta in 1068, he returned with Polish help, lost Kyiv again to his brothers in 1073 and fell in battle at Nezhatina Niva near Chernihiv on 3 October 1078.
