Qutlugh Bilge Kül Qaghan
Founder of the Uyghur Khaganate, called Guli Peiluo in the Chinese histories, from the Yaglakar clan of the Uyghurs. Having joined the Basmyls and Karluks against the Turks in 742, he turned on the Basmyls in 744, proclaimed himself khagan, set up his court at Ötüken and received from Emperor Xuanzong the title Huairen Qaghan; in 745 he killed the last Turkic khagan. He died in 747 and was succeeded by his son Bayanchur.
