Tong Yabghu Qaghan
Khagan of the Western Turks (c. 618–628), Tong Yehu in the Chinese histories, under whom the khaganate reached its height: according to the Old Book of Tang, he subdued the Tiele in the north, held off Persia in the west and reached the borders of Jibin (Kapisa, in present-day Afghanistan) in the south, and sent a tudun to oversee the rulers of the oasis states and collect their tribute. He is usually taken to be the khagan who received Xuanzang at Suyab. He was murdered by his uncle about 628.
