Western Turkic Khaganate
The western part of the Turkic Khaganate, where khagans of the Ashina house ruled from the Altai and the Tarim Basin to the Oxus and the Caspian. It drew apart from the eastern part in the civil war of 581–603, reached its height under Tong Yabghu (c. 618–628) and was organised as the “ten arrows” (On Oq); the Tang conquered it in 657–658.
