Khosrow I Anushirvan
Sasanian king of kings from 531 to 579. He completed his father’s reforms, made the Perpetual Peace with Justinian (532) and broke it in 540 by sacking Antioch; with the Turks he destroyed the Hephthalites around 560. Persian tradition remembers him as the model of a just king.
