Person
Nagabhata II
Gurjara-Pratihara king, the son of Vatsaraja, who restored the power of his family after the Rashtrakuta invasion. The Gwalior inscription of his grandson Mihira Bhoja credits him with victories over Chakrayudha of Kannauj and the lord of Vanga (Bengal) — the Pala Dharmapala, defeated near Monghyr — but the Rashtrakuta Govinda III overran his kingdom. The order and dates of these events are disputed.
