Pallava dynasty
South Indian dynasty with its capital at Kanchipuram (c. 275–897) that rose after the fall of the Satavahanas. In the 4th century its king Vishnugopa was captured and released by Samudragupta, and Mayurasharma, who had risen against the Pallavas, founded the Kadamba kingdom.
