Bohemond I of Antioch
Son of Robert Guiscard, who fought beside his father against Byzantium in 1081–1085 and became prince of Taranto. One of the leaders of the First Crusade, he engineered the capture of Antioch in 1098 and kept it as his principality in defiance of his oath to Alexios I; his invasion of the empire in 1107–1108 ended in defeat at Dyrrhachium.
